After trying screwdrivers the first time, dropping it etc. I came on a method like Tom Endys, I had my lift up about the heigth of the pan, slid it under some and use a length of pipe about 2" dia, it worked so easy I went and got 2 other pans and popped them apart also ---a lever down the oil pump hole and a quick kick would probably work too.

It needs to come out to clean under it.
