good suggestions, when i replaced the lower radiator hoses, i discovered that at one time the front end had been hit (replacemet grille put in, in 1947, very little room for hoses so i did have to cut a bit off and cleaned the outlet it went on to real good and used a little wd40, went on pretty easy, be sure to have clamp on when you put on, tighten good. good luck.
