Default Re: Fuel Inlet Fitting?

I gotta tell you guys that I just went out to my shop and did an intensive and scientific test to see what I could determine. You can start giggling now if you wish! I took some new 1/4” copper tube and tested a regular nut and ferrule and the “Ford designated” nut/ferrule. I do not think the outer side of the ferrule on EITHER combination does much of a crimp/squish. Like my dad who was born in 1895 would say “Put that in your pipe and smoke it!” Has any of you other old timers heard that saying? I am finding this thread quite enjoyable. LOL
