The only ones used by Ford on the production line were the type with a separate ferrule. The integral type only pinch the pipe on the end of the ferrule. In other words only one clamp onto the pipe. The old generic type pinch the ferrule in 2 places.

The integral type are ok but if available I prefer the old type. You can buy the ferrules separately and reuse them indefinitely.
