Re: 1935 Ford 5W Coupe Shift Lever?
The early Ford synchronized transmissions had the swept back shift towers. There may have been different shift lever designs depending on whether it was a passenger car or a commercial pickup. For 1936 production, the towers were changed to a straight up vertical type shift tower which was used on cars through 1939 and pickups up through 1952. The only major changes were the single to double detents for 1938 and the new 91A type front shift fork for the 1939 and later top shifter transmissions.
A lot of folks prefer that 39 and later transmission with the improved synchronizer. If the car was changed to hydraulic brakes then they may have changed the pedal for that.
