Wow, Kube makes a great point. I bet your glass was cut flat along the bottom edge.
Please let us know what you discover.
Just curious: How thick is your glass?

I don't know if these photos will help.

Also, I don't know but, did the stock OEM 1940 windshield glass have a tint? Or, was it 100% clear.
