Wish I had seen this picture first. You have a 1947 frame for sure. I have a 1947 Mercury convertible which is a carbon copy of a 1946. Rusty Davis, the 42-48 Mercury advisor in the Early Ford V8 Club has written on this subject and states that Ford, Mercury and Lincoln retitled 1946 models as 1947's early in their respective runs.
