I am encountering the same, but I see my jumper is broken. I believe it is a resistor wire to limit the current though coil of the relay. Hunt is on for a resistor wire or a unit with the wires. It seems to be a 50-ohm value in 6-inches of length. Not shown in any wiring diagrams I have searched.
