I first met David at Hershey in 1968. His 32 deluxe roadster was in the show. It was difficult to get a good look at the car, the crowds were four or more deep for hours. There were hundreds of Ts and As and less than a handful of early Ford V8s. Needless to say Davids roadster was heads and shoulders above all the Fords on display. IMHO Davids car started a trend of HIGH QUALITY early Ford V8 restorations. I looked at that car for hours, I finally got to talk to him, gave me his address and phone number, call or write anytime. I did, in fact talked to him a few times when he was stationed in Brazil. Each Hershey I would try to track him down just to talk. Just to know him was an honor, Hershey will never be the same.
