I believe you can rebuild the fuel pump to help get the car going. Third Gen Auto in Tenn should have the rebuilding kit (same as the V8 pump) for 48 Ford also get the glass fuel bowl corkpreem gasket. They may have another fuel line to the Carb. and NAPA has a paper filter that will work in the glass bowl #3039
