The oblong hole in Floorboard #2 is the battery access point. There is a sheet metal cover over the hole and it's held in place with two clips riveted to the cover. See the attached image of the cover. I also included a plan view of the 1935-1936 Truck floorboard. The pickup floorboard has a slightly different layout to accommodate a different transmission and a different layout of the turn buttons.
