Re: What did you do today that was flathead V8 related?
I just got home from Oregon where I was working on my 41 pu. I learned the hard way (AKA things you'll never forget) to always check you valve to head clearance. The heads worked fine on a original 8BA but the new stainless valves have thicker/taller head then the originals from ford. Yes the heads were milled sometime in the past and I did the tinfoil balls on the pistons but not the valves. Needles to say , I didn't get it runnig this trip, maybe next . Tim
