I agree with all the "negatives" posted here! I have had better luck keeping things up to speed with no cover, just weekly washings. Yup, the paint will take a hit over many years but nothing like the "buffing" a car cover will give! My Ranchero project was "stored" under a good cover (designed for outdoor use) and suffered immensely from critter damage and as a home for yellow jackets! My answer was to invest in a car port. Worked to keep two of them under cover but still "exposed" to prevent critter damage and bees from finding a home.
