Default Re: 1935/36 Sedan Delivery Rear Bumper?

[QUOTE=Karl Wescott; Now what is REALLY interesting is Mercman's photos. While the outside has the two stripes, the 1935 has a single wide stripe on the inside where the 1936 has a double stripe. The center between the stripes is more defined and a different shape than the 1936. Is the double inside stripe a somewhat common variation? Early aftermarket? Australian?[/QUOTE]

NOT sure IF you are aware BUT many of the Euro (German in particular) 33's and "UP" had NO accent stripes. It seems to be a mixed bag of what I have both modern pictures and "back in the day" photos. I tend to believe that the "non" striped bumpers were a "local" sourced item as Ford of Germany had such an increasing pressure to use "local" materials and suppliers.....SO I think the striped bumpers were what was able to make it in to the country from the USA when "permitted"!!!
