Thanks guys for all the replies and ideas, I do have some JB Weld in the shop. When you buy a new cable like I did, the Hood Pull handle or knob is separate with no instructions, you would think it would be a simple task of pushing it on but maybe it comes of just as easy, so that's why I asked the question running a tap down the knob hole sounds good as does crimping the area where the knob goes on.
