Marty, maybe that is just the cultural differences of today vs. 2-3 or 4 decades ago. Thinking about it, there is a popular saying that many use of '
Drive it like you stole it!' that likely shows where our culture is heading.
FWIW, when I was a kid some 50+ years ago, stealing was not something anyone wanted to be associated with or accused of. And, we were constantly instructed to take care of our stuff (clothes, bicycles, home, etc.) and other people's stuff in order to make it last. Now I guess there is no shame to be accused of stealing something, or to 'hammer on' something until it is broken or ruined. Likely the new Buyers weren't necessarily brave nor were they foolish, but maybe they were just ignorant of what could have happened. Maybe that is what made this video entertaining!
