I did show the ragged old truck with the bed up, and safely blocked. No problems with the operation of a 90 year old hydraulic lift system:
We drove to the Auburn town square for a very nice car show.
Some dump trucks that are in the musuem

Fred, Luke, I did get the starter cable fixed with a good simple farmers fix. This is not even close to stock but what it allowed me to do was keep the nice original knob on the dash! Thanks to Mike at the early V8 museum with some brainstorming and a electrical connector, to extend the broken cable. It didn't work as expected and when crimped to the broken wire it pulled through. Today I added a small gob of weld on the end of the wire to keep it from pulling through the crimped connector. Very crude fix but effective!
So the workshop at the Early V8 museum helped fix another issue with an old Ford! Thanks to Mike for the help!
I also saw pictures of another illusive 32 commercial radiator cap from somewhere in Texas! Hope to see that big Ford truck at a show someday!
