Let me also add that checking the compression on each cylinder and pulling the side inspection plate is a must, if you got any sticking valves that will raise hell with being able to properly pull fuel up through your carb and get to your intakes.

Another thing is in the past 10 years have you pulled and oiled/cleaned the timer, most important and often overlooked
