LOTS of teacups on Ebay. Stainless, black, special lens - all sorts of variants. Dern cheap too, many of them.
A couple of drums. Pricey - which IMHO is not justified except by the apparent current lack of production.
Wait around - the marketplace will probably figure this out.
For a while I was trying to assemble the complete set of five "The Impoverished Radio Experimenter" series of books, a run which was printed by Lindsay Publications back when they were in business.
The buyer of Lindsay's stock sold off what he had for small money. Four of the five books for less than $20. But - no availability of the elusive volume 2.
The marketplace quickly caught on to the shortage. Volume 2 appeared on Ebay at $254, then $89, then $45, then (now) about $21.
I'm still not ready to buy.
Meanwhile, perhaps best to "cobble something together." Maybe even buy a pair of "something plastic/cheap" - even cheaper than teacups - and use those until what you want shows up at a price you're willing to spend.
Edit: IIRC I believe I bought my drum at A&L. Of course their presence is "challenged" these days - I've watched the discussion of "how to contact" with interest. BUT someone here may be able to comment on their success - and perhaps a report on what they found?
Too many "providers" are being "challenged" these days. Model A Front springs was my last challenge with Travis Cook now taking himself out for a well deserved rest. I was fortunate to find an acceptable substitute from Ecklers.
