Agreed, my 36 build started in 76 and drove first in 80 was 100% junk yard parts. Even today the only "after market" parts are the front disc brakes and the steering wheel. Every part and piece in the car came out of a junk yard. Guess the ol factory stuff was pretty good, it has just over 140K miles on it now.

And junk yards are not what they once were either. Even for cars 15 or 20 years old.
