36 coupe, You just don't GET IT even after all these years. Number one an "A" motor isn't like a V/8 and never had over heating problems. The reason the "A" motor over heated was the water was pumped out the over flow and got REAL LOW on water and BOILED over. The thermostat RESTRICTED and SLOWED the flow of water with a LESS WATER LOST out the overflow BUT STILL LESS WATER THAN A FULL radiator. With a LITTLE MORE WATER in the system BUT STILL NOT FULL the engine RAN HOTTER THAN IT WOULD FULL OF WATER ALL THE TIME but did not boil over. If you had SKIPS PRESSURE VALVE it would have ran in the normal range and you could have SAWED WOOD ALL DAY without FOOLING AROUND with a hot engine. PLease read this several times and maybe you can understand it. This is the SAME THING that happens on the V/8s when MODERN thermostats are installed in temperatures over 85. Also you may want to read the PROVEN results from many others that use a WORKING pressure cap or Skips valve. One persons VISSIONS are no where equal to HUNDREDS of of reported feild results. Also the stock "A" pump provides plenty of cooling water flow and needs no improvement, where the stock 32 to 53 pumps do not provide enough flow. Your 36 pumps deliver 55 gallons each in 5 minutes where Skips 32 to 36 pumps deliver 92 gallons, again ask the several thousand users and get the REAL PROVEN results. G.M.
