Default Re: What shocks to use with Aerostar front springs?

When I put the Aerostar springs in the bird they didn’t lower it much because the front springs had a coil trimmed off. I didn’t change the upper bump stock, so the full compression measurement didn’t change. I also didn’t remember that the shocks limited the drop (car jacked up, front wheels hanging) so I didn’t worry about full extension. I just bought a set of replacement higher quality gas shocks and called it good.

Been fine for years. The Aerostar’s are softer on the little bumps and firm up on larger ones or body roll, expected from the progressive winding. I really liked them. Should be about the same on a car, the control arms and spindles are the same. Just a bit more weight and probably more front end bias.
