The Model A only overheated when we used it to power a cord wood saw.Lack of foward motion may have done it but a thermostat stopped the overheating. The Ford never overheated when worked in hot weather.A friends father ran a sawmill with an A engine until he bought a new tractor. There were 4 Model A powered cord wood saws cutting firewood in the early 60s near me.I helped Joe Ribero saw wood with his A powered saw in 1964.He told me me you had to use a thermostat to avoid boiling.
