.185 to .200 is the lift of the pushrod. if your cam ecentric is worn down you will have less lift, therefore your fuel pump lever may not acuate enough to properly pump gas. if you add lenghth to the push rod with say a washer, now your pump may work. this is done quite often. you can acomplish the same goal by lowering the fuel pump mount. Most flathead guys know this trick already.

The correct lift is .185 to .200
