Default Re: titling and registering 32 Roadster street rod

(alchemy)
Wherever and whenever you try to transfer titles or register cars, don't say the words "hot rod" or "street rod". The DMV doesn't need to know about any modifications unless they ask a particular question. You don't need to add fuel to the fire.[/QUOTE]

I don't know how other states do it, but in MN. if you want to put "Collector"Plates OR "Street Rod" plates on the old car or pickup, you pay $150 for the plates and the Tax, even if you paid a million dollars for it. When you transfer it, transfer fee is $35.00.

If it's an old car or pickup that you've had in your name for over One year,
then you just pay $15.50 for the Street Rod or Collector plate, and pay the
$35 fee to transfer, so the new title has this new info on it. NO sales tax.
