They probably work okay. The reason coils fail is age more so then heat. Heat certainly makes the degeneration more apparent. Heat is part of age if you use it, (it generates and is effected more from internal heat, then external motor heat). A rewound coil will last you most likely the rest of your life. Less you are 20. Then buy two. Just my opinion.


If you are sticking with the points and old coil. Skip really is the way to go. Get one or two before you can't, in my thinking.
