I wouldn't use RTV on an intake gasket . . . either dry, or sometimes I will coat it with gaskacinch. Most of these gaskets are very thick, so they really need nothing. I've never had a leaking intake gasket that I know of. Grease also works fine and makes it easy to take apart at a later date.
