I too have Hagerty insurance in Virginia. After reading this thread, I called them and added "Cherished Salvage" coverage to my policy. The additional premium was less than $20/yr. Basically, if your car is totalled, they pay the full insured amount and you keep the car. This coverage may not be available in every state.
