GB, you aren't totally unique in this, I once bought a 50 four door parts car that the previous owner had used for his daily driver. He installed a T9 so he could tow heavy trailers with the car. It wasn't a pretty install with the different type throw-out bearing arm setup from what the cars came with, but he made it work. The car also had a bullet hole in the roof from where he was hunting and forgot to account for the height difference between his scope and the barrel.
