Default Re: Tranny snap ring

The later green bible parts catalog call out P/N A-7045-A for the 1928 and it has a 1.43" ID for use with the multi disk clutch. The later part number A-7045-B with the 1.56" ID fits all the later ones with the single plate clutch.

The P/N A-7045-A was also used for the clutch throw out bearing on the multi disc clutch. The part may have just been the A-7045 on the real early 1928 cars. The input shaft is definitely different due to the way the plates mount up. The width of the snap rings can also be important. I certainly had no luck searching. The later part number is all that comes up.

Mac VP has the most correct snap rings for the later model B &18 on up type transmissions. He may have a general source for snap rings like this but I don't know.
McMaster-Carr has some spear end retaining rings but I don't know if any would work.
