My 56 T-Bird had a 312 Y Block with a broken main bearing mount. I want to reuse my 312 crank shaft and connecting rods on a 292 Y Block. Are there any problems that I need to know about before I look for a machine shop to do the work? I haven’t been able to find a 312 block that is rebuildable in my area. Any experienced opinions will be appreciated. Thank You..
