If the engine has very few miles on it or has not been run for a long period of time, the rings may not be seated and excess blow-by may cause oil to leak thru the rear main. I would get some miles on the car and see what happens. Also, after the engine is broken in if it is "new", run 10/40 or 20/50 oil. It may help slow an oil leak.

Synthetic oil usually will leak more than conventional oil.

But first, look carefully for the source of the leak.
