While the pattern of the Mercury script on this mystery hubcap is the same as the 1939 Mercury, this hubcap is obviously a "dog dish" hubcap and not applicable to the "skin" used on the 1939 Mercury Hubcaps. So the question still remains, what is this mystery hubcap? Maybe, it is an "after market" product?
