Went to start my '41 PU yesterday - all went fine, except I got distracted and forgot to switch the ignition to ON. Cranked and cranked...battery was weak to begin with but I recovered my error too late.
Then put on the charger. Got the polarity correct but the negative clip was on the solenoid side of the battery disconnect clamp (that I had opened as part of the charge procedure) and I wondered for a bit why the charger indicated zero amps output? DUH! Relocated the neg clip to the battery post side and all was good. I just shook my head in disbelief and went to lunch. Can't win some days I guess
