I did a Google search for Ford model a shift knob. One of the many custom knobs came up with the shift pattern on it. The size of the thread as listed for the knob was 16mmx1.5. In looking for that knob I perused a bunch of other ones most of which were listed as being this size. Once I found what I was looking for the next challenge was figuring out figment. There are a number of businesses that offer inserts, which are designed to fit both ends - knob & shifter. The Model A stock sifter is an uncommon (for today’s cars) size. I was pleasantly surprised to find an insert that works.
