Can you post a picture of the stock manifold that you show the bracket mounted on? I think you want to have the front of the new manifold machined to look like the stock one.
Since you are using an early intake manifold on an 8BA engine, what are your plans for crankcase ventilation?

Thank you for the response. I can post a picture of the 59A manifold tomorrow. But, you are correct in that it is pretty much straight up and down. We had discussed machining the manifold but figured there was enough meat on this bracket that cutting the sides up 3/4 of the way would not hurt it. As far as crankcase ventilation, I have a PCV valve on the intake. You couldn't see it in that picture, because it's on the other side. Here's a different pic.
