Ayers 1. Welcome to the barn. The times I’ve had this problem I have found it to be a vacuum leak somewhere in the intake system. Make sure the connection between the carb and intake manifold is nice and tight. Also make sure there are no leaks in the manifold itself The engine will pop from getting to much air.
