I used this system
http://turnswitch.com/Turnsignal.htm in my 40 with LEd lights. Works great. I chose the under dash toggle but I often think that the column switch would be much more convenient. You have to pay attention to and remember to cancel the blinker quickly after making a turn or you may have someone turning in front of you.Setting the cancel time is adjustable. If you turn a signal on while your brake is on the blinker will not time out while waiting at the intersection or stop light while you wait and the timer starts up again when you let off the brake.
