The narrow bolt pattern indicates a transmission that has to have a full bell housing so that eliminates the pre 49 Fords. The Fords of 49 thru 51 have an appendage on the side cover for the clutch bellcrank. 1949 & 50 are a bit different than 1951 for this appendage. The late 1951 Mercury and later 1952 through 53 Ford had different clutch actuator set ups. The 259 series transmissions were used in the Y-block years as a light duty 3-speed so I could be one of those as well.

The casting number is kind of funky. 01A would be 1940 but it's obviously not from that era. If it is C1A then that would indicate 1961 design.
