The transmission number is early 1933 model production This is not correct, as pointed out below, I miscounted the digits!!!. The serial numbers were stamped into the transmissions and mated with an engine. When the assembly was installed in the vehicle that number was added to the frame and became the vehicle serial number. Because the engine is easy to separated from the transmission and were often rebuilt and switched out, the transmission number doesn't help much with the engine ID.
