Re: Asbestos in 34 Ford
Max, The best idea is to have the Brakes, Clutch Plate and? redone in the USA before shipping to Australia, and get a Certificate stating that these replacement items do not contain Asbestos. The average old house in Australia would contain a truck of Asbestos, but our Government is doing nothing about that, (and that is a good thing) but is picking on the old car enthusiast who wants to import an old car with minimal Asbestos. While our Government think they are being smart, they are actually losing jobs to Australia. In the past, the new brake job would have been done in Australia, but now, it is being done in the USA. How smart is that? Australians don't make cars anymore, so repair shops rely of repairing the older ones. Now, it seems that we want the USA and other overseas countries to have this business, and it seems that nobody in Government even cares.
