It's not an easy job. You have to remove the spot-welded cap on the inside, then an internal clip that retains the bearing. Best if you can leave the fan riveted onto the hub, but that complicates pulling the bearing out. The only issue with removing the fan is the potential for the grinder nicking the fan, which worried me (having seen some fans that shucked a blade). After inserting the new bearing you need to put a cap over it; you can either reuse the old one (if it is intact) or take a welch plug and drill it out, then spot weld it.
