Made me pretty mad after spending a lot of money. BTW they now say they install a different board that doesn't have that feature. But I have to send them the whole $500 each again! No thanks. They did my 36 Ford and 63 Corvette radios.
On my latest restoration I hid a modern radio with remote in an empty heater box. The radio is actually only half as deep as the usual radio and is designed for boats. No problems with tuning and costs less than half of what turnswitch charges.
If I were to do it again I would ask a lot of questions instead of hoping what I got didn't have tuning "features" that I hate or hide a modern radio somewhere.
On my 49 Ford I bought a new reproduction radio. Works fine.
