There is no argument I can imagine that would convince me to put one of these awful things in a car I intended to drive!! My '48 F-1 came with one and I changed it out for a regular three-speed. Just like a new truck! Taking off the tranny doesn't qualify as "ripping apart" from my perspective. Also, it needs a unique driveshaft configuration and I can't imagine how you would configure the drive train to use it in a '36 car.
