I don't even know if the backing plates and etc. are interchangeable from 49 to the later F100? So should I order parts for a 57 and later truck?
Eis and other brake manufacturers have a catalog of brake parts illistrations.
Not found on computer, to my experience. I looked at pictures to find wheel cylinders for Lincoln backing plates.

Old time type auto parts stores are a treasure trove of such information.

Use this as an addendum to brake drum diameter, shoes width.

And, yes, pictures don't tell all but it gives a place to start.

You may get by by putting in new wheel cylinder cups.
