I have two A's with the shorter pitman arms. Not modified originals but the shorter ones sold by Snyder's and Bratton's. Neither is because I am too lazy to turn the wheel. Both are because I have arthritis and it hurts my hands to drive with the longer arm. this is just enough relief that I can drive all day without ending up in agony. Doesn't affect the turning radius at all, as the nut on the kingpin locking bolt is still your limiting factor, though it takes a little more turning to get there. Works for me, not for purists.
