Forgot to look at a carb last night, but I believe those arms pivot on a protrudung spigot on casting and the screw just keeps them in place. I suspect screws were loose or too long, and levers are actually off their pivots and have a lot of extra movement. Screw could have vibrated out slowly allowing the lever to become free range yesterday...
