Re: 35/36 rear floor cross member
I'll try and get a picture of it, but as I recall, there were (2) wooden blocks, one in each side, of that channel and a long bolt went through the floor pan (behind the side supports in the trunk area) and through the wooden block and were secured with a hex nut. The (2) bolts acted as a body mounting bolt.
There was not a single, long piece of wood from one side to the other.
This was on my '36 3W.
