You don't need a new intake. Bolt the two together and have faced. We have a new exhaust that I took off a customers car. The intake and exhaust were not faced and the ears were broke off the new exhaust when it was cinched down.
Look at the ports on your block, there was a short time that the blocks were not machined for gland rings. But if it is, gland rings and copper gaskets is the way to go.
