Dont know where the info came from the the"repops" are no good, We have used several of Carpenters reproduction starter buttons on two 40 Fords and two 39 Fords with complete satisfactory service. You might save yourself a lot of problems an work by using a later two wire button. And I did install a button out of a 50 Merc in my 40 Ford back in 1959, Am now restoring that 40 back to original using a Carpenters button. You have a great looking 39 Deluxe coupe.
